Lynden David Hall was born on the 7th May 1974, in Wandsworth, South
London. He is one of Britain’s finest soul artists, who offer’s many
talents in singing, songwriting, arranging, and producing. He won
the ‘best newcomer’ award at the 1998 MOBO Awards, a.k.a Music of
Black Origin. In the year of 99, Lynden David Hall was the first U.K
performer to ever be voted ‘Best Male Artist’ in the world famous
Blues & Soul magazine from London. His debut ‘Medicine For My Pain’,
was an instant hit with U.K lovers of soul music and also elsewhere.
Songs like ‘Do I Qualify’, and the very popular ‘Sexy Cinderella’, are
still hits today, it was a classic R&B/Soul albums. However, when
Lynden decided to get his material remixed, this was when he got his
first major breakthrough. Hall was now getting some positive feedback
and much needed attention, his musical career was looking really
bright. In the new millennium Lynden released his second album, which
he entitled ‘The Other Side’, this didn’t do as well as his previous
debut album, but music-lovers of his sound would support and buy it,
making it a moderate hit. He appeared in the film ‘Love Actually’ in
2003, where he sang at the wedding of the characters played by Keira
Knightley and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
